Sr. Georgina Luznicky, OP, formerly Dorothy Luznicky, died at the Dominican Life Center on June 30. She was 90 and in her 71st year in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

Sr. Luznicky was born in Chicago to George and Lillian (Hattan) Luznicky. She earned degrees from Siena Heights College (University) in Adrian and DePaul University in Chicago.

Sr. Luznicky ministered for 45 years in education in Michigan and Illinois, serving most of her ministry in Illinois as a teacher, consultant and associate superintendent for Catholic schools. In Michigan, she taught at St. Mary, St. Clair (1948-53), and St. Luke, Flint (1957-60). She also ministered for more than 10 years at several Adrian Dominican offices in Illinois and in Adrian (Office of Information, 1973-74).

Funeral Mass was offered in St. Catherine Chapel in Adrian on July 3. Rite of Committal was to be in the Congregation cemetery.
