Every year, July 26 is a special day for Catholics across the Archdiocese of Detroit as we celebrate the Solemnity of St. Anne, our patroness. In this weekend's homily reflection, Archbishop Weisenburger points to her story as a reminder that God fulfills His promises in His perfect time and invites us to place our hope ever more fully in Him.

*In recognition of St. Anne's special role as patroness of Detroit, July 26 is approved as a solemnity for the entire Archdiocese of Detroit. It occurs on a Sunday this year and takes precedence over the Mass Formulary and Lectionary of the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time in the Detroit archdiocese. Therefore, the Mass readings above are different from the universal readings for the 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time, which can be found here.
