Supporting Mary’s Mantle, providing a home for homeless mothers

On Friday, Oct. 9, Archbishop Weisenburger joined clergy and supporters of Mary’s Mantle, a Catholic nonprofit providing a home for expectant and new mothers, for its annual gala at the University of Detroit Mercy’s Student Union Ballroom. Before the gala, Mass was celebrated at nearby Gesu Parish. This year’s gala, “Courage to Dream, Strength to Build,” will help Mary’s Mantle provide residential assistance to women who have chosen life for their children, helping them transition into motherhood by focusing on spiritual, emotional, physical, educational, and vocational well-being.
