Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following appointment:
Fr. Alphonsus Abainza, SOLT, with the concurrence of his superior, Very Reverend Peter Marsalek, SOLT, appointed parochial vicar of Holy Redeemer Parish, Detroit; St. Cunegunda Parish, Detroit; and St. Gabriel Parish, Detroit, which form the SOLT Family of Parishes, effective Feb. 6, 2026. Fr. Abainza previously served outside the Archdiocese of Detroit.
