Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following:
Fr. Francis Asomkase, SSJ, with the concurrence of his superior, Most Reverend John H. Ricard, SSJ, appointed Administrator of Our Lady Queen of Heaven - Good Shepherd Parish, Detroit; and St. Raymond - Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Detroit, which form the Trinity Family of Parishes of Northeast Detroit, effective July 9, 2025. This will be in addition to Fr. Asomkase's duties as Full-Time Priest Support to Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Detroit; Sacred Heart Parish, Detroit; St. Augustine and St. Monica Parish, Detroit; St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Detroit; and St. Elizabeth Parish, Detroit, which form the Detroit Lower Eastside Family of Parishes.
Fr. David Cybulski granted a leave of absence, effective July 11, 2025. Fr. Cybulski previously served as Moderator and a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Church of the Holy Spirit, Highland; St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Milford; St. Patrick Parish, White Lake; and St. Perpetua Parish, Waterford, which form the West Oakland Catholic Family of Parishes.
