Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following appointments:
Fr. Steven Mateja appointed Priest Support to the Missionaries of Charity and the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. Fr. Mateja is also assigned to assist in the Archdiocesan Archives. Both assignments were effective as of May 16, 2026.
Fr. Sama Muma appointed Full-Time Priest Support to the Family Sent on Mission Family of Parishes, which includes Divine Providence (Lithuanian) Parish, Southfield; Our Lady of La Salette Parish, Berkley; Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, Oak Park; and Transfiguration Parish, Southfield. It is anticipated that Fr. Muma will serve primarily at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, Oak Park, and Our Lady of La Salette Parish, Berkley. Fr. Muma currently serves as Full-Time Priest Support to St. Ignatius Parish, Grand Cayman.
