Archdiocese of Detroit clergy announcements: June 9, 2025

Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following appointments:

Fr. Banu James Bodula, SAC, with the concurrence of his superior, Very Reverend Balaji Boyalla, SAC, appointed Full-Time Priest Support to the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, Plymouth; Resurrection Parish, Canton; St. John Neumann Parish, Canton; and St. Thomas a'Becket Parish, Canton, which form the Bishop Baraga Family of Parishes, effective Sept. 1, 2025. Fr. Bodula will serve primarily at Resurrection Parish, Canton. Fr. Bodula currently serves outside the Archdiocese of Detroit.

Fr. Paul Graney appointed Moderator of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Church of the Holy Spirit, Highland; St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Milford; St. Patrick Parish, White Lake; and St. Perpetua Parish, Waterford, which form the West Oakland Catholic Family of Parishes, effective June 5, 2025. This is in addition to his current responsibilities as member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Church of the Holy Spirit, Highland; St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows Parish, Milford; St. Patrick Parish, White Lake; and St. Perpetua Parish, Waterford, which form the West Oakland Catholic Family of Parishes.

Fr. John McKenzie granted a personal leave of absence, effective from June 11, 2025, through July 10, 2025. Fr. McKenzie currently serves as a member of the In Solidum team of priests who pastor Christ the King Parish, Detroit; St. Charles Lwanga Parish, Detroit; St. Moses the Black Parish, Detroit; St. Peter Claver Parish, Detroit; and St. Suzanne-Our Lady Gate of Heaven Parish, Detroit, which form the D4 Mission Family of Parishes.

Fr. Adam Nowak, who will begin his assignment as Priest-Secretary to Archbishop Weisenburger on July 1, 2025, will also assume the position of Vice-Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Detroit on this same date.

Fr. Tomasz Wilisowski, CSMA, with the concurrence of his superior, Very Reverend Andrzej Kowalczyk, CSMA, appointed Moderator of the Priests In Solidum who are caring for Our Lady of Loretto Parish, Redford; St. Genevieve - St. Maurice Parish, Livonia; St. John XXIII Parish, Redford; and St. Valentine Parish, Redford, which form the Mother of Divine Love Family of Parishes, effective June 5, 2025. Fr. Wilisowski currently serves as a member of the In Solidum who are caring for Our Lady of Loretto Parish, Redford; St. Genevieve - St. Maurice Parish, Livonia; St. John XXIII Parish, Redford; and St. Valentine Parish, Redford, which form the Mother of Divine Love Family of Parishes.
