Archdiocese of Detroit clergy appointments: March 9, 2020

Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron announces the following appointments:

Fr. Mario Amore appointed pastor of both St. Aloysius Parish, Detroit and Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Detroit, effective July 1, 2020. Fr. Amore is currently serving as administrator of St. Aloysius Parish, Detroit.

Fr. John Bettin appointed administrator of St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston, effective July 1, 2020. Fr. Bettin is currently serving as associate pastor of St. Joan of Arc Parish, St. Clair Shores.

Fr. Daniel Jones appointed pastor of St. John Fisher Chapel University Parish, Auburn Hills, effective July 1, 2020, in addition to his continuing responsibilities on the faculty at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Fr. Jones is currently serving as pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Detroit.

Msgr. Michael LeFevre appointed pastor of St. Owen Parish, Bloomfield Hills, effective July 1, 2020. Msgr. LeFevre is currently serving as pastor of St. John Fisher Chapel University Parish, Auburn Hills.

Fr. John Maksym released from parochial ministry to full-time studies of canon law at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., effective May 1, 2020. Fr. Maksym is currently serving as temporary administrator of St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston, and associate pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Lake Orion.

Fr. Scott Thibodeau appointed temporary administrator of St. Daniel Parish, Clarkston, from May 1, 2020, to June 30, 2020, in addition to his continuing responsibilities as pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Waterford.

Fr. Tomasz Wilisowski, CSMA, with the concurrence of his superior, Fr. Andrew Kowalczyk, CSMA, appointed administrator of St. Genevieve-St. Maurice Parish, Livonia, effective July 1, 2020. Fr. Wilisowski is currently serving as associate pastor of St. Andrew Parish, Rochester.
