Girls soccer: Cranbrook keeps rolling with 3-0 shutout of Shrine





Royal Oak -- Cranbrook Kingswood kept its unbeaten streak alive in windy and sometimes muddy conditions at Royal Oak Shrine on Tuesday afternoon.

Cranbrook scored three goals, as sophomore Lexi Higbee and a staunch defense put up its fifth shutout of the season on the way to a 6-0-1 record.

Junior Sydney Sakwa scored first and winning goal for Cranbrook. Senior Eva Heidingffelder put in the second goal, with freshman Dee Dee Morrow adding the last for good measure.

Elsewhere in the Catholic League, Livonia Ladywood also earned a 3-0 shutout on its home field in Livonia, besting Ann Arbor Fr. Gabriel Richard.
