In the Gospels, there is always a preference for the sick over the healthy, the poor over the rich, the repentant sinner over the smug. The unifying key is humility. In this homily reflection for Oct. 26, 2025, the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Archbishop Weisenburger breaks open the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector and draws from the wisdom of the saints to reveal how humility, of all the virtues, brings us closest to Christ.
