Deacon John (Jack) Parent passed on from this life on Nov. 19, 2025, at the age of 77. Deacon Parent is predeceased by his beloved wife, Adelia.
Deacon Parent was born June 11, 1948, and was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on Oct. 7, 2006.
Deacon Parent served his first diaconal assignment at St. Columban Parish in Birmingham from 2006 to 2010, followed by an assignment at Sacred Heart Parish in Auburn Hills until his retirement in 2021.
There will be a Mass offered for his intention on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3400 S. Adams Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.
