Sr. Mary Peter had a great love for teaching the “little ones.” It was clear to all who knew Sister that she was clearly a woman of the Gospel who embraced the teachings of Jesus, living with the conviction that her choices would impact others. Sister kept abreast of the issues of the day and found ways to share with others the kind of impact we are called to make to bring about a more just society.

Sister had a great love of nature and especially animals. She enjoyed the pets of family and friends and was often gifted with stuffed animals, her favorite being a camel, which reminded her of the time spent in the Holy Land.

Sr. Mary Peter was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lena, along with her brothers John, Frank, and Sam. She is survived by her sister Josephine Caito, numerous nieces and nephews, and her Community, the Servants of Mary.

Sr. M. Peter will be remembered for her wit, convictions, and deep compassion for those in need. Truly, we have been blessed by her life.

Memorials are suggested to The Servants of Mary Retirement Fund.
