Pray for the 28 men studying to become priests for the Archdiocese of Detroit

The 28 seminarians studying to become priests in the Archdiocese of Detroit pose alongside Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger, director of priestly vocations, Fr. Matthew Hood, and the director of seminarians for Detroit priestly vocations, Mario Amore in the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Detroit.

As a new academic year begins, Detroit Catholic urges readers to pray for Detroit's seminarians as they discern God's calling

DETROIT — As a new academic year begins, please join us in praying for Detroit-area seminarians as they continue their studies and formation for the priesthood.

Currently, 28 men are in the process of answering that call, discerning their future as priests of the Archdiocese of Detroit through their studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary and elsewhere. May the Lord bless them with wisdom, perseverance and a deeper love for Christ and his Church. May their time of formation draw them ever closer to the heart of Christ and prepare them to faithfully serve his people.

Please keep the following seminarians in your prayers throughout the 2026-27 academic year:
