Sr. Anelda Servick, CSJSr. Anelda Servick, CSJ, entered eternal life July 4 at the age of 96.
Loretta Servick was born in Ecorse on July 26, 1919, to Severene (Serowick) and Casimira (Marciniak) Servick. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish in Marine City at the time of her entrance into the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Nazareth on July 1, 1946. She pronounced first vows Jan. 3, 1949, and final vows Jan. 3, 1952.
Sr. Servick earned her degree from Nazareth College and took many additional classes and workshops in the field of education and catechetics. Sr. Servick taught in many schools of the Congregation, including St. Joseph in Kalamazoo, St. Joseph in Battle Creek and St. Mary in Port Huron. In 1986, she retired and returned to Nazareth, where she prepared the guest rooms and drove Sisters to doctor’s appointments and shopping trips.
A funeral Mass was celebrated July 8 at Holy Family Chapel in Nazareth.
