Sr. Bernadette Metzger, formerly Daniel Joseph, of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, died Sept. 15 in Cincinnati at the age of 86. A native of Columbus, Ohio, she was a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur for 67 years. She was born Nov. 15, 1930.

Sr. Metzger taught in elementary schools in Ohio and Michigan, including at St. Eugene (1963-67, 1970-71) in Detroit.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Sept. 19 at St. Julie Chapel in the Mount Notre Dame convent in Cincinnati, followed by interment.
