Sr. Mary Leonette Brzuziewski, CSSF, died on Feb. 28, 2011, at Blessed Mary Angela Convent in Livonia. She was 97 and in her 77th year of religious life.

Born Elizabeth Brzuziewski on Sept. 7, 1913, in Cleveland, she was the fourth of six children of Ladislaus and Joanna (Twarogowski) Brzuziewski. She was accepted into the Felician Community in June 1933. She made her first profession in 1935 and pronounced final vows in 1941.

She ministered in education in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Her final ministry was an assignment to Madonna University as an aide in the development office and library aide. After transferring to the provincial house infirmary in 1994, she participated for eight years participated in a program at Madonna which paired international students with retired Felician Sisters.

Sr. Brzuziewski died Feb. 28.  She is survived by nieces and nephews.
