Sr. Margaret MacDougall, CSJ, entered eternal life July 12. She was born in Detroit on March 18, 1934, the daughter of Daniel and June (Swanson) MacDougall. She was a member of St. Agnes Parish in Detroit at her entrance into the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Nazareth on Sept. 1, 1955. She received the name Sr. Mary Linus on July 2, 1956, later returning to her baptismal name. She pronounced first vows July 2, 1958, and final vows July 2, 1961.Sr. MacDougall earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Nazareth College and a master’s in theology from St. John University in Collegeville, Minn. She taught at St. Joan of Arc, St. Clair Shores; and St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Taylor. She then worked as a medical records administrator at St. John Hospital, Detroit; Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo; and Holyoke College in Massachusetts. In 1975, Sr. MacDougall moved to St. Thomas More Student Center in Kalamazoo as a campus minister. Sr. MacDougall then worked as director of RCIA at St. Joseph Parish in Kalamazoo.
A Mass of Christian Burial was July 16 at Holy Family Chapel.
