Sr. Patricia Eileen Consier, OP, died May 30 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian.

She was 77 years of age and in the 59th year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

Born in Chicago to Albert and Mary Annette (Loughlin) Consier, she graduated from Aquinas High School in Chicago, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano from Barry College (University) in Miami Shores, Fla., and a Master of Musical Education degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in music education, both from Florida State University in Tallahassee.

Sr. Consier spent 21 years ministering in education in Detroit, and in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

In Detroit, she taught at St. Brigid, Detroit, in 1951 and at Rosary High School, Detroit, in 1969-70.

She became a resident of the Dominican Life Center in Adrian in 2006.

Sr. Consier is survived by cousins.

A funeral Mass was celebrated June 1 in St. Catherine Chapel at the motherhouse of the Adrian Dominican Sisters.

Burial was in the congregation’s cemetery in Adrian
