DETROIT — This year's Triduum celebration at St. Bonaventure Monastery and the Solanus Casey Center was made a bit more special by a Tenebrae service on Good Friday featuring the St. Matthew Schola.

The Tenebrae service, a beautifully sung solemn vespers, is a special prayer service that commemorates the suffering and death of Christ through powerful visuals and sound, including the extinguishing of candles one by one to symbolize the abandonment of Jesus.

The service was attended by a large gathering in St. Bonaventure's chapel in preparation for the Easter season and the joy of Christ's resurrection.
