William Arthur Redding of Peck died July 13 at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Hospital at the age of 77.

Mr. Redding was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Oneida, N.Y., a son of William E. and Ruth (nee Helmer) Redding. Mr. Redding served his country in the United States Army. On Jan. 25, 1958, he married Caroline DiAngelo in St. Edward Catholic Church in Detroit.

Mr. Redding is survived by his wife, Caroline; children Joseph Gerard (Virginia) Redding of St. Marys, Kan.; Christopher (Anita) Redding of Westminster, Colo; Donna Lynn (James) Zyrowski of Brown City; Ann Marie (John) Van Heusden of St. Clair; Thomas John (Sandra) Redding of Marysville, Wash; Elizabeth (Jason) Werick of Riley Township; and Gregory William (Molly) Redding of Post Falls, Idaho; brother Fred Redding of Florida; sister Ruth Hornyak of Oneida, N.Y.; 33 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Redding was predeceased by his parents; brother James Redding; and grandson Benjamin Zyrowski.
