AoD honored for stewardship promotion

DETROIT —

The archdiocesan Office of Development and Stewardship won recognition from the International Catholic Stewardship Council, receiving two awards at the council’s recent annual meeting in San Diego, Calif.

The office was the winner in the Annual Appeal Poster category, and was the runner-up in the Total Diocesan Stewardship Effort category. Both awards pertained to efforts for the archdiocese’s annual Catholic Services Appeal (CSA), which provides funding for most archdiocesan ministries, including Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

More information, including a PDF of the poster, can be found at www.aodonline.org/csa.

Leading the efforts behind the winning entries were Thomas Scholler, associate director of development and stewardship; Terry Kach, associate director of the Catholic Services Appeal; and Jessica Orzechowski, development services manager.

Graphic designer Shannon Reincke of DoubleDog Design in Ada, and writer Darci Smith of Chicago, a former Michigan Catholic reporter, contributed to the projects.
