DETROIT — The Archdiocese of Detroit is collecting funds to help in the relief effort from Hurricane Sandy.
Funds collected by the archdiocese will be turned over to Baltimore-based Catholic Charities U.S.A., the organization commissioned by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to help with natural and domestic disasters.
To donate, visit www.aod.org/disasterrelief or send a check payable to “Archdiocese of Detroit” with “Hurricane Sandy” written in the memo line to Archdiocese of Detroit, Chancery, 4th Floor, 1234 Washington Blvd., Detroit, MI 48226.
Parishes may also decide to take a second collection for disaster relief efforts. Those funds also will be forwarded to Catholic Charities U.S.A.
