Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following:
Fr. Wilson Antony, with the concurrence of Most Reverend Mar Joy Alappatt, Eparch of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Chicago, appointed hospital chaplain to Henry Ford Health, effective Feb. 16, 2026. It is anticipated that Fr. Antony will serve primarily at Henry Ford St. John Hospital, Detroit. Fr. Antony also serves as pastor of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Southfield.
Fr. Steven Mateja granted a three-month leave of absence, effective Feb. 18, 2026. Fr. Mateja previously served as parochial vicar for St. John Fisher Chapel University Parish and as co-chaplain of Detroit Catholic Campus Ministry.
