TROY — If the old adage is true, “laughter is the best medicine,” local seniors will have a chance to find out.
Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan’s Older Adult Division will host a free seminar Aug. 24 aimed at encouraging senior citizens to “learn how to embrace humor for your mind, body and spirit” during the second annual Senior Living and Learning Seminar at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois in Troy.
The 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. expo will feature a “Laughter Works” talk by Kay Caskey and Laurie Young, holistic health specialists and nationally recognized experts on the subject of health and humor, about the benefits of having fun while keeping good health.
Parking, admission, giveaways and lunch are free. Call (248) 559-1147 ext. 3941 to RSVP by Aug. 9 or email [email protected].
