Fr. Joseph Duc Vu, a priest of Vietnam who had been serving in the Archdiocese of Detroit, died March 23 at the age of 66.

Fr. Vu was ordained for the Archdiocese of Thành-Phô Hô Chí Minh, Vietnam, in1970, where he served in several capacities. He arrived in the Archdiocese of Detroit in 1993 and was assigned to Veterans Hospital in Allen Park by the Archdiocese for Military Services.

Fr. Vu worked as a Central Service employee in the Department of Parish Life and Services as a Chaplain at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, while remaining on assignment at John D. Dingell Veterans Administration Medical Center, also in Detroit.

 Fr. Vu is survived by his brothers Peter, Dao, and Chinh; sisters Khiem, Nhuong, Huong, and Lien; and many nieces and nephews.
