Father Robert Wojciechowski, entered eternal life on Friday, April 8, at the age of 54.

Father Wojciechowski was born in Detroit on October 4, 1956, and was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on December 10, 1983. He served as associate pastor of St. Patrick Parish, White Lake; St. Christopher Parish, Detroit; and St. Anne Parish, Warren.

He had been serving as pastor of St. Francis D’Assisi Parish, Detroit, since 1989 and of St. Hedwig Parish, Detroit, since 2004.

Father Wojciechowski will be waked at St. Hedwig, 3245 Junction in Detroit, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12; and at St. Francis D’Assisi, 4500 Wesson in Detroit, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, with a Scripture service at 7 p.m. He will lie in repose at St. Francis D'Assisi on Thursday, April 14, from 9 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been made through the Jarzembowski Funeral Home in Detroit (313-271-0800).

Father Wojciechowski is survived by brothers Dennis and Timothy; sisters Diane Skelly, Marlene Wojciechowski and Patricia Henry; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Anna Wojciechowski, and sisters Elaine Onderko and Sandra Demsky.
