Fr. William Patrick Siebert passed from this life on Dec. 26, 2025, at the age of 82.
Fr. Siebert was born on March 3, 1943, in Detroit and ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit on Jan. 17, 1981.
Fr. Siebert served as a deacon
at St. Albert the Great Parish in Dearborn Heights and St. Lucy Parish in St. Clair Shores. He served as parochial vicar (associate pastor) of St. Lucy Parish, St. Clair
Shores (1981), St. Clement Parish in Warren (1981-82); St. Lawrence Parish in Utica (1982-83); St. Michael Parish in Sterling Heights (1983-94); and St. Malachy Parish in Sterling Heights (1994-96).
Fr. Siebert also served as administrator of St. Malachy Parish in Sterling
Heights (1996) and St. Athanasius Parish in Roseville (1997-2006). Fr. Siebert was granted senior status on Feb. 1, 2008.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Community, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48313, from 4-8 p.m.
Fr. Siebert will continue to lie in state on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Community in Sterling Heights from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, at 11 a.m.
