Nationally known priest ethicist to speak in Pontiac







Pontiac -- Fr. Tadeusz Pacholczyk, PhD, a nationally known Catholic moral ethicist will address medical treatment and the dignity of life when he speaks here Saturday at a conference hosted by Michigan Nurses for Life.

Fr. Pacholczyk, who is director of the Philadelphia-based National Catholic Bioethics Center, will address specifically the ethics of certain types of health care, and on issues regarding end-of-life decisions by medical professionals and patients.

Fr. Pacholczyk has gained recognition for participating in both Catholic and secular media. The Michigan Catholic has published his regular columns on life issues.

The Saturday conference, themed “Current Trends in End of Life Health Care,” is open to the general public for $20. It lasts from 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and includes breakfast. It will take place at St. Joseph Mercy’s Franco Communications Center at 44405 Woodward Ave., Pontiac.
