Seminarians to host seventh Dinner for Life

Detroit — Seminarians at Sacred Heart Major Seminary will host the seventh annual Dinner for Life to benefit pro-life ministries Feb. 5.

Proceeds from the benefit will support Image of God Crisis Pregnancy Center at St. Cecilia Parish and Holy Redeemer Parish in Detroit, which offers spiritual, emotional and practical assistance to pregnant and new mothers. In 2015, the dinner drew 425 attendees and raised more than $11,000 for pro-life charities.

The 7 p.m. dinner will be prefaced by a 6 p.m. Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Michael J. Byrnes, and a keynote presentation will be given by Louis Brown, director of the Christ Medicus Foundation’s CURO Catholic health-sharing ministry.

The seminary is at 2701 Chicago Blvd., Detroit. Tickets cost $25. Call (313) 883-8627 or visit shms.edu.
