Sr. Carmen C. Gonzalez, OP, of Oxford, died Dec. 23, 2014, at McLaren Hospital in Pontiac. She was 78.

Sr. Gonzalez was the loving sister of Juan Carlos Gonzalez of Connecticut, special aunt of Carlos DeVilla of California, and is also survived by her fellows Dominican Sisters of Peace in Oxford.

A funeral Mass was celebrated for Sr. Gonzalez on Dec. 27 at the Dominican Sisters of Peace Motherhouse, with Fr. Henry Sanford, SJ, celebrating. Burial will be at a later date.
