Sr. Corinne Feldpausch, CSJ

FeldpauschSr. Corinne Feldpausch, CSJ, entered eternal life May 16. A funeral service was May 21.

Rita Feldpausch was born in Fowler on Nov. 4, 1917, the daughter of Joseph and Regina (Wieber) Feldpausch. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Nazareth on Feb. 2, 1941, pronounced first vows Aug. 26, 1943 and final vows Aug. 26, 1946.

Sr. Feldpausch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business education from Nazareth College. For 14 years she taught in schools of the congregation, including St. Rita in Detroit; St. Mary in Flint; Madonna in Detroit; and St. Agnes in Flint. She worked as a business manager at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint and Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac. She was certified as a social worker and moved to the Scudiere Center in inner-city Detroit, ministering to the poor and destitute. She also was administrator at Marian-Oakland Senior Citizen Complex in Farmington Hills. From 1985-93, she served in public relations and in the outpatient department at the Borgess Medical Center. Sr. Feldpausch retired in 1993, but continued her work at the Nazareth Switchboard and as a sacristan in St. Joseph Chapel, Fontbonne Manor.
