Sr. Margaret Ann Reardon, formerly known as Sr. Dennis Olivia Reardon, died Feb. 27 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian. She was 82 and in the 64th year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

Sr. Margaret Ann was born Detroit to William and Mary (O’Connell) Reardon. She graduated from Resurrection High School in Lansing and received a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in history from Siena Heights College (University) in Adrian, a Master of Education degree in reading from Holy Names College (University) in Oakland, Calif., and a Master of Religious Education degree from Seattle University in Seattle.

Sister ministered for 48 years in education in Michigan, California, Arizona and Nevada, including at St. Edward School in Detroit (1949-53). Sister became a resident of the Dominican Life Center in Adrian in 2007.

Sr. Margaret Ann is survived by four sisters: Kathleen Elliott of Montague, Calif.; Christine Whelan of Milford; Patricia Marin of Weed, Calif.; and Mary Allen of Livermore, Calif.; and two brothers, Daniel Reardon of Weed, Calif.; and Patrick Reardon of Sonora, Calif.
