Sr. Theresa Ann Gehringer, DSMP, 64, died Oct. 7 in Lake Zurich, Ill. She was born Dec. 3, 1950, to Lewis and Margaret Gehringer of Detroit.

Sr. Gehringer made profession to the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence on Aug. 15, 1975, and final voews Aug. 14, 1980, in Italy. She served those with developmental disabilities, taught education and religious education and most recently served in parish ministry in Syracuse, N.Y.

Sr. Gehringer is survived by her brothers, Lewis (Carol) Gehringer and Richard (Kathy) Gehringer, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. A funeral Mass was Oct. 9 at Mount St. Joseph Chapel in Lake Zurich, followed by interment at the chapel’s cemetery.
