Sr. Vida Marija Rovansek, MCSr. Rovansek was a member for 32 years of the Missionaries of Charity, a Catholic order of sisters founded by Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Born Sept. 24, 1942, she was the beloved daughter of the late Vid and Marija Rovansek, loving sister of John (Sherry) and the late Vid and sister-in-law of Magdelena. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jessica, Matthew, Anne, Michael, and Andrew and seven grandnieces and grandnephews.
A funeral Mass for Sr. Rovansek was celebrated March 19 at St. Gabriel Church in Detroit. She will be interred at Assumption Grotto Cemetery in Detroit.
