WRESTLING: The state tournament continues Feb. 16 with regional action at a number of sites in Michigan.

In Division 1 at Canton High School, Novi Detroit Catholic Central takes another step toward the defense of its 2010 state title by facing Dearborn Fordson. Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice is scheduled against an opponent to be determined at Roseville.

The quarterfinals are scheduled for Feb. 25, the semi-finals and finals on Feb. 26. All competition will be staged at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek.

COMPETITIVE E CHEER: Four CHSL schools are participating on Feb. 19.

Dearborn Divine Child will compete at 4 p.m. in Division 2 at Berkley.

In Division 2, Livonia Ladywood will be competing at 4 p.m. at Brooklyn-Columbia Central High School, while Pontiac Notre Dame Prep starts at 5 p.m. in Yale.

In Division 4, Madison Heights Bishop Foley will begin at 4 p.m. in Lake Orion.

Competitive Cheer finals will be held March 5 at the Delta Plex in Grand Rapids.

SKI : State regionals will be held Feb. 17-18. (Contact schools for times).

Bloomfield Hills Marian will begin defending its 2010 Division 1 girls ski title at Mt. Brighton. Farmington Hills Mercy will be among the girls’ teams skiing.

Boys teams at Mt. Brighton include Brother Rice, U-D Jesuit and Catholic Central.

Division 1 finals will be held Feb. 28 in Marquette.

Division 2 skiing will have Orchard Lake St. Mary’s and Notre Dame Prep in the boys section, and Ladywood in the girls. State finals will be held Feb. 28 at Boyne Mountain.
