Terence D. “Terry” Farrar



Terence D. Farrar, 80, died July 19 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

Mr. Farrar was born June 30, 1932, in Jefferson County, Penn. He was an active member of Holy Name Parish, Birmingham, and was a member of the Catholic business group Legatus, the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre and the Knights of Malta.

Mr. Farrar also served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-61, and was later founder and president of Super Steel Treating Company.

Mr. Farrar was the husband of Joan (nee McKiernan), and the father of Ann Ross (Anthony), Maureen Huldin (Donald), James (Mary Denise), Paul (Kristen) and the late John Joseph. Mr. Farrar was a grandfather of 11, and is also survived by a sister, Jean Farrar, sister-in-law Patricia Farrar, brother-in-law Jerry Harkins and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Farrar’s funeral Mass was Juny 23 at Holy Name Parish, Birmingham. Interment is in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
