On Sept. 10, Archbishop Weisenburger had a "great visit" to Notre Dame Preparatory School in Pontiac, where he toured classrooms, met with faculty and staff, and shared joyful moments and lively conversation with students of all grade levels. "It was truly a blessing to have the Archbishop on campus," the school wrote in a Facebook post, "and we're so grateful for his encouragement and steadfast support of Catholic education."
Welcoming three new candidates to the permanent diaconate
On Sept. 7, Archbishop Weisenburger and Auxiliary Bishop Jeffrey M. Monforton welcomed three new candidates to the permanent diaconate for the Archdiocese of Detroit during a dinner and reception at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. The diaconal candidates signed their oaths of fidelity, and their wives also signed documents consenting to their husbands' formation and future vocation as deacons.
Attending the installation of Archbishop Mark S. Rivituso in Mobile, Alabama

Archbishop Weisenburger presided over the baptism of young Gabriel Reeves Sulimirski on Sunday morning, Aug. 31, at St. Genevieve-St. Maurice Parish in Livonia, welcoming him into the Catholic faith and celebrating the sacrament with his friends and family.
'Holy Smokes' barbecue at St. Peter Parish in Mount Clemens
On Friday, Aug. 22, Archbishop Weisenburger enjoyed good company and recreation at the third annual "Holy Smokes" event at St. Peter Parish in Mount Clemens, featuring barbecue, jazz music, drinks and socializing. Italian dinner prepared by volunteers on the Solemnity of the Assumption
A group of culinary-minded volunteers prepared a delightful Italian dinner for Archbishop Weisenburger and clergy at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Grotto) Parish in northwest Detroit prior to Mass on Aug. 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption, which took place in the grotto at the historic parish.
Gathering of priests at St. Hugo of the Hills in Bloomfield Hills
Archbishop Weisenburger joined priests of the Archdiocese of Detroit for an "incredible" evening of fellowship hosted by St. Hugo of the Hills Parish in Bloomfield Hills on Aug. 13. "These are the blessed events that build priestly fraternity," he said.
Touring Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills
Archbishop Weisenburger had a "wonderful tour" of Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, which is close to reopening its clubhouse following a devastating fire in 2022. "Members and senior leadership of the club were very gracious, and I had a wonderful time," the archbishop said.
