Meeting with local and national Islamic faith leaders

As part of an effort to get to know ecumenical religious leaders, Archbishop Weisenburger hosted a lunch July 31 for local and national leaders of the Islamic faith, including Imam Elturk, Imam Qazwini and Imam Mohammed Elahi. The archbishop said the meeting was "very productive" as the faith leaders discussed "our very deep pain and anguish over the current brutality, starvation and killing of innocent civilians, women and children in Gaza."
