On Thursday, Oct. 15, Archbishop Weisenburger accompanied Cardinal Peter Ebere Okpaleke of the Diocese of Ekwulobia, Nigeria, on a tour of the Solanus Casey Center in Detroit, part of Cardinal Okpaleke's three-week pastoral visit to the Archdiocese of Detroit. In addition to celebrating Mass at local parishes, Cardinal Okpaleke also plans to take time to visit fellow Nigerian priests in the area, the Nigerian diaspora community, while raising support for his diocese back home.
