Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following appointments:
Fr. Vincent Nwanze, with the concurrence of his bishop, Most Reverend Augustine Ndubueze Echema, appointed Full-time Priest Support to the Northeast North Macomb 1 Family of Parishes*, effective Aug. 15, 2026. It is anticipated that Fr. Nwanze will serve primarily at St. Lawrence Parish, Utica. Fr. Nwanze recently completed studies at University of Detroit Mercy.
Fr. Mark Soehner, OFM, with the concurrence of his superior, Very Reverend Michael Perry, OFM, appointed Part-Time Priest Support to the Family Sent on Mission**, effective Aug. 15, 2026. It is anticipated that Fr. Soehner will serve primarily at Transfiguration Parish, Southfield. Fr. Soehner previously served outside the Archdiocese of Detroit.
