Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger announces the following appointments:
Fr. Marco Brioschi, PIME, with the consent of his superior, Reverend Piero Masolo, PIME, granted primary responsibility for San Francesco (Italian) Parish, Clinton Township, effective July 1, 2026. Fr. Brioschi remains Full-Time Priest Support to the Northeast Central Macomb 1 Family of Parishes, which includes San Francesco (Italian) Parish.
Fr. Craig Giera appointed Moderator and a member of the in Solidum team of priests pastoring the Rouge Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2026. It is anticipated that Fr. Giera will serve primarily at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Dearborn. Fr. Giera is also appointed Full-Time Priest Support to the Hope Renewed Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2026. It is anticipated that Fr. Giera will serve primarily at Sacred Heart Parish, Dearborn. Fr. Giera currently serves as Director for Priestly Vocations for the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Fr. Timothy Laboe appointed Moderator and a member of the in Solidum team of priests pastoring the Southwest Detroit Family of Parishes, effective July 1, 2026. It is anticipated that Fr. Laboe will serve primarily at the Basilica of Ste. Anne, Detroit. Fr. Laboe currently serves as Dean of Studies and Assistant Professor of Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, Detroit.
