Deacon Ronald Cook passed on from this life on September 17, 2026, at the age of 85. Deacon Cook is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen.
Deacon Cook was born August 28, 1941, and was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on October 15, 1988.
Deacon Cook served his first assignment at St. Kieran Parish in Shelby Township from the time of his ordination until 1999, followed by an assignment at St. Anastasia Parish in Troy until the time of his retirement in 2015.
Deacon Cook’s funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 10 a.m., at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 4571 John R Road, Troy, MI 48085. Visitation with family will begin at 9:30 a.m., leading up to Mass. Condolences can be sent to Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, 1368 North Crooks Road, Clawson, MI 48017.
