Sr. Loretta Sullivan, RSM, of Rochester Hills, entered eternal life on Sunday evening, July 9, 2023, at Corewell Health (Beaumont Hospital), Troy. She was 90 years old.
Sister Loretta was born October 3, 1932, in Detroit, to the late Michael and Margaret (Shultz) Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael (Lilly) Sullivan. In addition to her sister-in-law, Lilly, she is survived by two nephews, Michael and Patrick, 4 great-nephews, 1 great-niece, and her Sisters in Community.
Visitation for Sister Loretta is planned for Monday afternoon, July 24, from 4-6 pm, concluded by a 6 pm Vigil Service, at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, downtown Farmington (the Vigil Service will be recorded and viewable after 9 pm by clicking the "watch video" button under the Vigil Service tab below).
Sister Loretta's funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning, July 25, at 11:00 am (in state at 10:30 am) at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Road, Shelby Township.
There will be a luncheon in the Parish Hall following mass prior to departure for Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Graveside prayers at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, will follow the luncheon.
