DETROIT — On the 152nd anniversary of the founding of St. Aloysius Parish, (August 24, 1873) the downtown Detroit parish hosted its 26th annual St. Aloysius Block Party on Aug. 24, a gift to the neighborhood.
"It was such a blessing to celebrate our parish birthday with our neighbors and friends, and to see our community come together in faith, fun, and friendship," said Beth Allison, director of parish mission and operations at St. Aloysius. "We are especially grateful to our generous benefactors and amazing volunteers who made this event possible. Their time, talent, and support helped create such a beautiful day for all."
