ALLEN PARK—Nearly 400 Catholics from the South Region of the Archdiocese of Detroit gathered at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Allen Park on Saturday, April 27, for the second of four regional Eucharistic congresses as part of the ongoing National Eucharistic Revival, a movement to draw people closer to Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

“These gatherings, one in each region of the archdiocese, are opportunities for those who cannot travel to the national event to come together in prayer and grow in understanding of the True Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist,” Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron previously stated.

The event, called “Love Outpoured,” featured keynote speakers Dr. Bob McCarty in English and Katherine Angulo in Spanish. It also included music, the sacrament of reconciliation, prayer ministry, Eucharistic adoration and Mass celebrated by Bishop Jeffrey Monforton.
